Listen to Paul McCartney on iHeartRadio

Paul McCartney has a new album in the works.  The rock legend's drummer, Abe Laboriel Jr., tells the "Boston Globe" they have "a wealth of material" for the project, which he describes as "very youthful" with "a lot of different styles."

He explains that some songs sound aggressively rock while others are singer-songwriter, insular, and intimate.

Laboriel doesn't offer a timeline for the disc, which will be McCartney's fourth studio release with his current band.  It'll also be the former Beatle's first collection of new tunes since 2007's Memory Almost Full.
