A Massive Chris Cornell Biography Is in the Works

Just weeks after Chris Cornell's family released a self-titled, retrospective box set commemorating the late rock star's prolific career, writer Corbin Reiff divulged some more exciting news. On Monday (December 3), the LIGHTERS IN THE SKY author announced that he's working on an extensive biography about the Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog frontman.

"I’ve spent the last year conducting interviews and doing research and can’t even begin to describe how excited I am to kick the tires on this," Reiff tweeted after declaring he had a "Huge Personal Announcement."

He then gives a shout out to Mark Yarm, the author of Everyone Loves Our Town: An Oral History of Grunge. Check out the announcement tweets below.

In the following days, Reiff has given us some more insights into the book. "Had a great chat with Dawn Anderson today, the first person to ever review Soundgarden’s music," he tweeted. "Here’s her write-up of the DEEP SIX compilation in the Seattle paper The Rocket in 1986."

He also interviewed Jack Endino, who produced Soundgarden's debut album.

Though not many details have been shared about the book so far, we do know that it will be called TOTAL F@&KING GODHEAD: The Biography Of Chris Cornell and is slated for a 2020 release.
