Rob Halford Names His Metal Top 10!
Rob Halford of Judas Priest put Black Sabbath's self-titled debut at the top of his ballot for Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time list.
Halford says the 1970 album was "the blueprint that epitomizes everything metal." Here's his full Top 10:

BLACK SABBATH: Bill's Selling Some Stuff
Bill Ward is selling off a bunch of gear he used on tour and in the studio with Black Sabbath.
The drummer's online shop at Reverb.com will launch on Wednesday with over 200 items up for grabs. There are more than 150 drum heads, signed and dated from tours and recordings from the ’70s until now, as well as signed and dated sticks from 2005 and the six-piece cymbal set used on Sabbath recordings from 1968 to 1971.
Ward says, "Whoever gets this gear will get good karma. I really hope the new owners will be able to feel the energy of it." Check out a preview of the gear on YouTube.
IRON MAIDEN: Time To Pop-Up
Iron Maiden are the latest act to have a pop-up store created for a tour stop.
It will be at the San Francisco outlet of the toy and clothing company Super7 July 1st through 8th. The Maiden tour stops in Oakland on July 5th. Super 7 says the pop-up shop "will feature official limited-edition silkscreen prints from Acme Archives and exclusive Super7 items for sale. There will also be a sneak peek on display of what’s coming from Super7 and Iron Maiden later this year."
What's expected later this year is the first in a line of Iron Maiden figures based on the various designs of the band's mascot, Eddie, throughout its career. Iron Maiden's tour hits Dallas and San Antonio, Texas over the weekend, and visits Albuquerque, New Mexico on Tuesday.
