Paul McCartney, Bono and a slew of younger artists have taken time out to appear in a promo for former Vice President Al Gore's new film about climate change, Truth to Power: An Inconvenient Sequel.
Also taking part are Adam Levine, Pharrell, The Chainsmokers, Jennifer Hudson, Steve Aoki and Randy Jackson.
McCartney opens the clip, saying, "I'm inconvenient for the future of the planet," followed by Bono, who adds, "The poorest of the poor are furious because they're hit first and worst by climate change."
Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks should speak to Stephen Stills and Judy Collinsabout being able to work together after breaking up as a romantic couple.
Stephen and Judy dated in the late '60s; 50 years later, they are back together for an album and tour.
She tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, "We maintained a friendship, which I think is very rare. We’ve always been friends, hung out with each other’s spouses, and we’ve talked and made a lot of lists together of songs we would do if we ever worked together... When we first started out, we should have skipped the romance and gone straight to this, but then he wouldn’t have written ‘Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.’
"It was a difficult relationship and I don’t think it had a chance at that time — we both had to get off and do our own thing. If you’re married to someone in the same field and you’re both hungry and ambitious and bossy, it’s difficult to manage that in the same room. I don’t think it was meant that we had a continual romance, but it was always a very intense musical friendship and relationship."
Judy and Stephen are on the road this summer backed by a trio in advance of their first album together. Everybody Knows will be out on September 22nd.
The two are in Alexandria, Virginia on Friday and Saturday.
A New York City penthouse that Yoko Ono bought in 1995 and sold in 2014 has turned into a money pit for its new owner, developer David Blumenfeld, who bought it for his son.
The home, part of a converted 19th century horse stable in Greenwich Village, has warped beams, toxic mold and a rotted roof deck.
Blumenfeld has filed suit against the co-op board for refusing to make “structural repairs."
In 2014, Yoko also sued the board, who she claimed interfered with her attempts to sell the penthouse.
Yoko is not the only wife of a famous musician to deal with mold in their home. In 2012, Mick Jagger’s ex-wife Bianca was ordered to pay $600,000 in back rent to her landlord after losing a legal battle concerning her New York City apartment. She was evicted from the rent-stabilized $4,600-a-month Park Avenue apartment in 2008 after complaining of water leaks and mold. She also had to pay just under $350,000 in legal fees.
