The band that symbolizes summer will close it out for AXS TV viewers. The network will air 10-hour Beach Boys block on September 4th, starting at 10:00 am [ET] with a replay of Dan Rather's recent interview with Mike Love.
That will be followed by a series of documentaries and concert films and end with the 2000 mini-series The Beach Boys: An American Family.

Bon Jovi is removing leather from his clothing line. The New Jersey rocker will do away with the leather trim on his Hart N Dagger branded jeans. Instead, the $275 pants will now carry "vegan leather" (vinyl) patches.
PETA says "educating" Bon Jovi about slaughterhouse practices led to the change. A spokesperson for the activist organization quotes one of the musician's signature songs in its comments, saying, "Animals are no longer livin' on a prayer, thanks to Jon Bon Jovi." (New Jersey Star Ledger)
Ted Nugent has responded to David Crosby's comment that he lacks the talent to merit election to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nugent had claimed that his membership in the National Rifle Association is the reason.
Nugent fired back: "Poor sap David Crosby bloated chemical repository carcass desperately seeks hygiene."
We sent Nugent's tweet to Croz, who had no comment for us.
Crosby is a two-time member of the Rock Hall, with The Byrds and CSN.
Foo Fighters' new album, Concrete and Gold, won't be out until September 15th, but you can read the words to all its songs today.

Despite a host of apparent obstacles, Mick Fleetwood says everything is good with Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie are touring behind their joint album. Stevie Nicks no longer wants to record an album. Christine thinks her ex-husband John McVie is looking to wind down his musical career. But none of that seems to concern the namesake drummer.
If all goes according to plan, rehearsals start in March and the tour will begin in June.
John McVie just sold his home in LA’s Brentwood community. On the market for just over two weeks, the 2,200-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bath house went for its asking price of just under $3 million. McVie, who recently purchased another home in Brentwood that is twice the size, also owns a home in Honolulu.
