Sammy Hagar will take over Bob Weir's Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California on September 4th for a night of acoustic music.

The show is a benefit for the Kiddo! Endowment for the Arts, which helps Mill Valley's schoolchildren with programs in art, music, drama, technology and more.

Sammy, who lives in Mill Valley, will announce some special guests shortly.

98.5 The Fox night slammer Nikki Sixx has announced the release dates for the 10th anniversary Heroin Diaries projects he's been teasing all year.

Up first on October 24th is The Heroin Diaries: Ten Year Anniversary Edition book. It has a new cover, never-before-seen photos and new chapters.

On October 27th, The Heroin Diaries: Ten Year Anniversary Edition Soundtrack by Sixx A.M. will be out as a digital album, CD and CD/DVD. (A vinyl package will come out later this year.) It includes three re-recorded tracks -- “Life Is Beautiful 2017,” “Accidents Can Happen 2017” and "Girl With Golden Eyes 2017." These can be pre-ordered now through Pledge Music.

The Heroin Diaries graphic novel from Heavy Metal can be pre-ordered at Pledge Music as well.


Actors have been chosen to play all four members of Queen in Bohemian Rhapsody, the band's officially-sanctioned bio-pic.

Joining Mr. Robot star Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury are Gwilym Lee playing guitarist Brian May; Ben Hardy as drummer Roger Taylor; and Joe Mazzello as bassist John Deacon.

Lee is known for his roles in Midsomer Murders on Britain's ITV.

Hardy has appeared in the British soap opera EastEnders as well as such films as X-Men: Apocalypse.

Mazzello, an American, was in Shadowlands, Jurassic Park, The Social Network and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.


Let's Play Two, the documentary about Pearl Jam's 2016 shows at Chicago's Wrigley Field, will hit theaters on September 29th.

The film will have a one-week run in various markets, with 250 worldwide cities getting a one-night screening on October 3rd. It will debut on TV on October 13th on FS1 immediately following Game One of the American League Championship Series. It will be released on home video November 17th. The 17-song soundtrack will be released on CD, digitally and as a double-record on September 29th. Pearl Jam's Ten Club will release both Wrigley Field shows in their entirety as part of their official bootleg program on November 17th.


Dave Davies of The Kinks says Jerry Lewis “brought me a lot of happiness when I was growing up. He really helped me in different phases of my life to not take myself so seriously. The Nutty Professor and King of Comedy are my two favorite Jerry Lewis films. A comic genius and wonderful actor.” Steve Van Zandt calls Lewis the “greatest” and “so important to our generation and the history of comedy.”

The Doobie Brothers will headline the We Are One charity concert October 3rd at the Mayan Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Also on the bill are David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos. The event benefits the Playing for Change Foundation.

The Eagles will now play two concerts in Atlanta: October 20th and 21st.

Gregg Allman’s son Devon Allman will honor his dad with a performance at the Laid Back Festival, which Gregg created, on October 14th in Atlanta. Backed by his father’s band, Devon will play Gregg’s final studio album, Southern Blood, in its entirety. Gregg’s last concert was in Atlanta for Laid Back 2016.

Paul Rodgers has announced a handful of solo shows before Bad Company performs in late October and early November. The shows are in New Mexico, Kentucky, Canada and Washington.

Roger Daltrey will warm up for his appearance at the Rock Getaway festival in Mexico this fall with a show at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida on October 30th.

Yes drummer Alan White has donated a drum kit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band was inducted in April.

Ric Flair is "awake, communicating and progressing," his rep tells TMZ. The legendary wrestler has been hospitalized since last week after undergoing surgery. He's reportedly suffering from multiple organ problems.

Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) and Dominic Sherwood (Shadowhunters ) have broken up after two years of dating. Gossip Cop says the split was “mutual.” The two met while making the 2014 film Vampire Academy.

Sonny Landham, the actor best known for his roles in Predator and 48 Hours, died Thursday from congestive heart failure. He was 76.

For the first time in its history, MSNBC ranks as the number-one cable network in total viewers, according to Nielsen. For Wednesday, MSNBC averaged 1.52 million viewers for the day, beating Fox News, which averaged 1.5 million.

Conan O’Brien is taking his show to Israel for a primetime special airing September 19th.

Brenda Song and Jason Biggs will star in the Freeform original Christmas movie Angry Angel, according to Variety. It will premiere in November.

Alan Arkin has joined the cast of Disney’s live-action adaptation of Dumbo. The Tim Burton-directed flick -- also starring Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton and Danny DeVito -- opens in March 2019.
