1982's "Blade Runner" is one of my top 5 favorite movies. Unlike most people who saw it back then, I loved it.
We're two years removed from the time the original Blade Runner was set. 2019. And while we don't have off world colonies, or flying cars, or artificially grown humans, or...
When I come to think of it, we don't have much of what the movie depicted as our "future"
But It's still one of my favorite movies. So much so that when I lived in Seattle, I would wander the streets at night in my trench coat sort of kind of pretending I was living in the Blade Runner universe.
Because I liked the movie that much. And I'm weird.
So, tomorrow I get to immerse myself in the Los Angeles of the future in "Blade Runner: 2049" and to say I'm excited would be an understatement.
I may just turn the sprinklers in my yard on tonight and stand there in my trench coat.
