36-Year-Old Accountant Called In As Emergency NHL Goalie And He Crushed It!

This is the best thing you're going to see all day. 36 year old accountant Scott Foster plays hockey in a Chicago beer league. He also is an "Emergency Backup Goalie" or EBUG for the Chicago Blackhawks. Usually this mean he goes to the game, watches from the pressbox, has dinner and goes home. He's not paid anything other than free tickets to the game.

But yesterday was a day of surprises for Scott.

The first suprise happened on his way to the United Center last night. Scott got the call that he would be suiting up. Blackhawks starter Anton Forsberg had injured himself playing soccer earlier in the day. Backup Colin Delia would now start and Scott would be his backup.

The second surprise happened in the third quarter when Delia was injured with fourteen and a half minutes remaining.

Scott was put into the game.

Not only did Scott play, he freakin' crushed it! Over the fourteen and a half minutes he was in the crease, Scott blocked seven shots by the Winnipeg Jets to preserve Chicago's four point lead for the win.

AND he was selected player of the game!

This was like the movie "Rudy" except in this case Rudy played an entire quarter and had seven sacks!

This just makes me feel good!
