PEARL JAM: Mother Love Bone Reunion

posted by Mike Bell -

Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam reunited with their former Mother Love Bonebandmates Saturday night in Seattle.

The four-song set during a benefit at the Neptune Theatre was the first time the pair had played with Bruce Fairweather and Greg Gilmore in eight years. Filling in for the late Andrew Wood on vocals were Shawn Smith and Ohm Johari. Wood's death in 1990 inspired Temple of the Dog's self-titled 1991 album.

Watch the entire set on YouTube.

And in other Pearl Jam news -A Pearl Jam exhibit will open at Seattle's Museum of Pop in conjunction with the band's hometown shows this summer.

Home and Away is drawn from 28 years of memorabilia from the band's warehouse, including personal instruments, equipment, stage props, original typewritten lyrics and notebooks, original poster and album art, set lists, and -- for those fans who love Instagram -- a place to take a photo with the huge letters from the Ten album cover.

The exhibit opens on August 11th and runs through early 2019. Pearl Jam perform at Seattle's Safeco Field August 8th and 10th.
