There is a great documentary on HBO called "Elvis Presley:The Searcher." In fact, I don't even think great is the right word for this film. If you think you know all there is to know about the King, if you only think of him as that dude that made all those crappy movies in the 60s, or that dude in Vegas stuffed into a white leather jumpsuit doing sweaty kung-fu on stage, "Elvis Presley:The Searcher" has quite a few surprises for you.
I know I came away from watching it with a completely different opinion of the man. And it made me sad to think an entertainer of Elvis' caliber was constrained and prevented from truly pursuing his own destiny and reaching his potential.
