Gene Simmons Reveals The Inspiration Of Devil Horn Sign

Remember last year when Gene Simmons tried to trademark the devil horns hand gesture, which he soon abandoned after much public ridicule?"

For years he took credit for introducing it to the music world, even though others such as Ronnie James Dio had been flashing it for years. It was also used by John Lennon in the 1968 animated Beatles movie, Yellow Submarine.

Now Simmons has finally come clean about who inspired him to use it -- Steve Ditko, the co-creator of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, who died last month at age 90.

Following his death, Simmons tweeted, "Dr. Strange was directly responsible for inspiring my hand gesture... [Steve] made my childhood magical. We honor you, Steve Ditko."
