DIO Items Up For Auction

A large amount of Ronnie James Dio memorabilia will hit the auction block the weekend of September 14th at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York.

The Property From the Estate of Ronnie James Dio auction covers his time in Rainbow and Black Sabbath, and fronting Dio. The items include include jeans he wore with Rainbow, a personalized hooded robe he wore backstage on Sabbath’s Mob Rules tour, an animatronic sphinx from The Last in Line tour, and a painting by Barry Jackson that was used as the cover of The Last in Line album.

His widow Wendy Dio says, “I am glad that Ronnie’s extensive collection of items will go to his fans, museums and collectors around the world to be displayed for all to see and enjoy. These items are very special to me, but I recognize the historical importance of anything to do with Ronnie, and he would want his fans to be able to own, enjoy and see these items for many years to come.”
