Let's Review My Oscar Picks!

Did you watch the Academy Awards last night? Did you see Bradley Cooper and Lady Ga Ga almost make a baby on international TV?

Here are the nominations in the major categories. On Friday I highlighted who I think will win in BOLD, and underlined the ones I think SHOULD win. Let's take a look at how I did. I'll put a < next to the actual winner:

Best Picture

I missed this one by a mile. The actual winner was Green Book. Did not see that coming.

Best Actress

Another whiff for me. And to be honest, I've only seen A Star Is Born and I didn't see that until yesterday morning. (I sometimes make my picks based on clips) But after Olivia Colman's acceptance speech, I really want to see The Favourite.

  • Yalitza Aparicio - Roma
  • Glenn Close -The Wife
  • Olivia Colman -The Favourite <
  • Lady Gaga - A Star Is Born

  • Black Panther <
  • BlacKkKlansman
  • If Beale Street Could Talk
  • Isle of Dogs
  • Mary Poppins Returns

Hell would've froze over if this song didn't win. Although I was kind of rooting for When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings. (kidding)
