Sammy Hagar is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his fourth studio album, Street Machine, which was released in September 1979.
He posted a video of him listening to the song "Trans Am (Highway Wonderland)" and in it invited Trans Am owners to bring their vehicles to the car show that's part of his High Tide Beach Party festival in Huntington Beach, California on September 28th and 29th.
And in other Sammy-related car news, Jason Bonham, his drummer in The Circle, took Sammy's advice and invested in a 2017 Ferrari F12.
Bonham tells Motor Trend, "I've had about 40 cars in my lifetime, maybe more, from Lamborghinis and McLarens to Bentleys and Rolls-Royces, but I always lost so much money. [Sammy] said, 'Get yourself a Ferrari, it'll hold its money, do something sensible!' And then he went, 'I didn't mean buy a new one!' And then, of course, because of Dad I looked at it, and then when I got my mum to sit in it and she smelled it, she went, 'Oh my God, it takes me back to the one your dad had.' That was worth it for that."
Sammy and The Circle will warm-up for their performances at the High Tide Beach Party festival with a show in Lincoln, California on September 27th.
