It was a historic weekend for the metal men of Metallica!
The guys played the two shows with the San Francisco Symphony for the grand opening of Chase Center. Watch footage from night two below and night one here.
Lars tells the San Francisco Chronicle that social media has changed the band's fan base.
"Social media has definitely helped engage a lot of newer, younger fans that are experiencing Metallica for the first time," Lars said. "There's so many 12-, 14-, 16-year-olds that are coming to the show. When I'm looking out, it feels like it's at least 50 percent of the fans."
