A massive cargo ship crashed into the backyard of Johan Helberg in Byneset, near Trondheim, Norway, narrowly missing his house by mere feet early Thursday morning (May 22). The 443-foot vessel ran aground at around 5:00 a.m. local time, startling the neighborhood with its unexpected arrival.

Helberg was alerted to the incident by a panicked neighbor who witnessed the ship heading straight for the shore. The ship's grounding in Helberg's front garden caused significant disruption, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The incident has raised questions about the ship's navigation and the circumstances leading to its unexpected course. Local authorities are investigating the crash to determine how the ship veered off its intended path and ended up so close to residential property.

While the ship avoided causing damage to Helberg's home, the event has left the community shaken. The investigation will seek to ensure that such incidents are prevented in the future, safeguarding the safety of residents in the area.
